In less than four months, the novel coronavirus has killed 97,192 and infected nearly 19 lakh people. Governments are imposing lockdown and asking people to practice social distancing, but there are some countries that claim to have not been hit by the pandemic.


Turkmenistan surprisingly has not reported a single case of coronavirus.

While the world is battling against the deadliest coronavirus and almost every country has implemented lockdown to their populations, Turkmenistan has organized a mass cycling rally to mark World Health Day on Tuesday.

And they claim that they still have zero coronavirus cases. But can we trust the figures provided by a government renowned for censorship?

However, the Turkmen authorities are working on tackling a possible outbreak of the novel coronavirus.


The central Asian country claims to be unaffected by the deadly coronavirus virus. Tajikistan has also started a new football season and the match played without any fans in the stadium. Also, the stadium had a large banner reading "stop coronavirus".

In March, the Country had also imposed a complete ban on the entry of citizens of 35 countries.

However, the Turkmen authorities are working on tackling a possible outbreak of coronavirus.

North Korea:

Another country that claims to have not reported a single case of coronavirus is North Korea.

North Korea had sealed its borders by the end of January, days after China started to report a rise in coronavirus cases and deaths.


Recently Yemen got 1 covid19 case, but before this, the country has not reported any COVID-19 cases. Yemen has also seen civil war, for the past five years.

The (UNDP) United Nations Development Programme warned the country Yemen that with coronavirus they will face a new merciless and dangerous enemy that will be unbeatable.


Many of the island nations in the South Pacific including, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati and Tonga have yet to confirm any cases of positive Covid-19 cases among their respective citizens.

In Africa:

Comoros, this archipelago to the west of Madagascar and has a population of just over 1 million people and has not registered any covid19 positive case. Despite a state of emergency being declared in the African nation on March 25 as a precautionary measure.

Lesotho officially called the Kingdom of Lesotho is an enclaved country within the border of South Africa, has also not confirmed any coronavirus positive cases in their country.
